Just a baby!
Hi to you all!! I would like to introduce my new Tommy to you all! After all the misery I had with Tommy 1 (who died from pbfd, see http://www.ellen-parrots.com/frames-pbfd.html) I can enjoy my baby! I 've always wanted a bigger parrot, started with a budgie when I was 12 years old.. then I got lovebirds, in 1998 I got my senegal parrot, and now my congo african grey parrot!
I bought Tommy from a member of my parrot society, Pakara. The breeder did tests on polyoma, pbfd and gender, and it all came out okay. Virus tests were all negative and ..? he was male!! My first grey was male too.. so... I just hoped that this one was a male bird again, but.. if it was a girl, then it wasn't a problem for me at all, of course. Tommy was born on April 24, 2002.
I got some photo's from the breeders' when he still was at her house (click on the thumbnails to view the larger version), about 4 weeks old:Here some more photo's when he was about 11-12 weeks old:

He was a little bit plucked by his parents, but that doesn't matter. He looks so cute, don't you agree??!
I picked him up at July 28 (2002) and it was very warm weather.. me and a friend decided to go in the evening, because it was less hot then. Everything went okay. When I saw Tommy for the first time, I knew I loved him! Although I still miss my first baby.. !On this website you will find a lot more about my grey!!
