Update January 16, 2004
I know, I let you all down... he he.. But here I am again.. with the newest photo's of the baby. I am hand feeding him now.. yes.. another baby who has been plucked by his parents. I am almost sure that Pucky is the "bad guy" here, but well. When I came home from work a few days ago I thought... this is it.. this is the limit.. he looked so bad. Totally bold on his breast, neck and back.. He is doing great. He has his own little cage with a sleepy teepy in which he loves to cuddle and sleep.Today he is exactly 30 days old (almost 5 weeks). Here a selection of new photo's of him from January the 7th till now.
He is starting to get used to the hand feeding formula, so funny, because he almost thinks that I have some dinner in my mouth.. LOL! When he is with me he climbs to my head and start to give me "kisses?" on my mouth. Ohhh.... so sweet!
I also took some funny pics later tonight when his parents and the other lovebirds were out of their cages to play.. and I put the baby on my couch to see what they would do.. see it for yourself! By the way... on some pics you can see clearly that Pucky for sure did pluck his baby!! The naughty boy!

Okay! Here it stopped for a while, I am so sorry. But something terrible happened here.. some weeks ago I found out that my dearest african grey parrot Tommys feather was tested positive on the pbfd virus!! (To read all about it, go to Tommy's website at: http://www.greyparrot.net.) I was (and still am) very depressed about it.. anyway.. I didn't feel like updating this diary.. also it was very obvious that this baby, his name is Sammy, has to stay here for ever.. I had to tell the woman where Sammy would go to when fully weaned. I told her the whole story and gosh... she understood! Of course she was disappointed that Sammy couldn't come home, but also felt this was for the best (the pbfd virus is very contagious!).
So... Sammy stays with me! Oh well.. one more bird makes no difference, not for me. LOL. Here some photo's from January the 16th till now.. soon he will get his own page here, of course!!!
