The story of Pucky and Sweetie! (10)

In the beginning of the evening Sammy and Tommie were out again . When I put them on the table - as usual - Pucky immediately comes to join them. Now Sweetie tries that too. That's so funny to see and sometimes Pucky or Sweetie fly back to the cage, just to let the babies see how to fly to the cage! Sammy did that since yesterday! Tommie is a bit scared to fly yet, but he flew from the table to the couch. That's about 90 cm so you did it Tommie, you flew!!

Sammy flew a lot tonight and Tommie only did a "short distance flight", LOL! He still finds it a bit scary. He was biting again tonight...he acts like his mother, because Sweetie can do that too sometimes. Sammy on the other hand never bites! Maybe they are male (Sammy) and female (Tommie)!

The babies are out of the nest box more and more. But you can also see that they still feel save to go in there. Sammy flies from the bottom of the cage to a perch, without any problems, but Tommie is still very clumsy. When out of the cage Sammy flies through the whole room, this evening he landed on my diary near my cellphone, LOL!

Gosh...the "party" has begun!! My goodness...when Sammy is out of the cage it's a big problem to get him in there again!! LOL! He loves his wings, that's for sure. Tommie starts to fly too, but not that good. And I can still take him out of the cage. Sammy goes away for my hand now, it's understandable, but on the other hand he was used to my hand since he was born. But next weekend he will go to his new "parents" and she (my friend Conny) has to train him herself.

Tommie can bite very hard. I told the future parents (ha ha), but they still want him. Hi hi...just kidding Peter and Ria!! He is very cute. Okay he bites, but Pucky also did in the very beginning and see how Pucky reacts now! He is the tamest lovebird I ever had, so with a lot of patience he will trust his new parents and then it's okay. He is very funny too. He is exploring the whole cage, goes in and out the sleeping tents, etc. Today I found them, Sammy AND Tommie, both in one sleeping tent. That was very funny to see. They love a sleeping tent, that's for sure!!

They love to come out of the cage. For a long time they sat on Rakker's cage, just before my window. Gosh...they saw so many things "flying" outside!! They were out for about 45 minutes, together with their parents, of course. They got play lessons, flying lessons, back to the cage lessons...!

Exploring my livingroom with daddy  but they also like to be in the nest box again!  Mom and dad.....still very in love!  kissie kissie kissie!!

By the way...Sweetie has a funny way of making a nest. Everything, especially her favorite little ropes, must be put in her nest box. But today, when I gave the birds some millet, she wanted to take the millet into the nest box. Sometimes she's really weird, LOL!! She got one string in her nest box, that other one is hanging through the cage bars, dunno how she did that!!

Tommie, eating some before the millet is gone!  Taking the millet into the nest box.

To be continued.......
