Sammy's new home (1)!

Sammy went to Conny, a friend of mine. He's doing great!! He is a bit scary now and then, but he is out of his cage everyday, together with his new friend, also a budgie Scooby. Sunday evening I went to visit Conny and took some photo's of Sammy and Scooby, here they are!

     

In the near future I will put up some more photo's of Sammy!! Keep coming back!

Sammy also wrote a letter to me:

Dordrecht, February 22, 2001

Hi!!

I'm Sammy and since February the 4th I live in my new home. My new mom is very sweet and she let me out of the cage every day. I get a lot of nice food and water and I eat a lot of it all. I also live together with another friend, Scooby the budgie.

We already are good mates and sometimes Scooby is trying to feed me as a mom!! Cute huh?? I am used to my new cage now and I play with all the toys in there, especially with the one my ex-mom Ellen gave to me, rings made of a rope. During the day I mostly sleep in here. At night you'll find me in the sleeping tent, it's warm and nice. I was already used to that sleeping tent my ex-mom got from a friend for my daddy Pucky. I still am a bit frightened from time to time and if someone comes too close I'll fly away! They clipped my wings a little bit, but that's okay, I still can fly very good, LOL! When I am out of the cage they still can't catch me, ha ha!! But in the evenings the put off the lights and then they can catch me, because I don't see a thing!! But it's okay, because then my new mom starts to hug me and preen my feathers...wow, that is cool!!

Gotta go now, I am so sleepy. I am still a little baby you know!! So see ya next time!
