Birds of my Friends

On this page you'll find pictures of the birds of some friends of mine, not only lovebirds and budgies! Click on the pictures to enlarge.
Meet Nicodemus the Senegal who lives in College Park, Maryland, in the
United States. In his seven years Nicodemus (or Nicky for short) has developed
a large
vocabulary centered around his love of good things to eat. In the morning when
I first go into the kitchen he demands, "Gimme a bean, a carrot and a
pancake!" If service is not immediately forthcoming, he asks,
"Where's my bean? Did you hear me?" He also enjoys adding his
comments to any telephone conversation. When he feels the talk needs livening
up a bit, he flirts, "Hi Cutie! You're a Sweetie!" with my caller.
If I talk too long, he comments, "Sleepy birdie!" or "Gotta go
pee-pee!" He spends his day on my shoulder or on his play table, keeping
a watchful eye on my activities. If I get out of his sight he calls,
"Mommie!! Where's my mommie?" In short, he's a very special
companion who brings sunlight into my life on the dreariest of days. I think
he's really an angel in disguise. If you would like to see additional photos
of my beautiful Senegal parrot, and hear more about his exploits, please visit
his web site by clicking on his picture! (Helen, July 14, 2001).

An emailfriend of mine, Sophia, recently bought an african grey parrot which bird is still very young, so she has to feed him every day!
