Charlie and Piwi are in love again! More than two years ago they had babies, and one of them was Pucky! As you already know Charlie and Piwi are birds I adopted last year. Their owners had to give them to another bird lover, because their child is allergic. They are staying in my home for almost one year now. Charlie (female) isn't very tame, although she lands on your shoulder etc. but she has difficulties to trust people. Piwi on the other hand isn't afraid for your hand and doesn't bite at all. Anyway, they are a cute lovebird couple.
February 03, 2001:
When Pucky and Sweetie started mating/breeding, it must be contagious, so they started mating too! LOL! This resulted in four eggs. The first
egg didn't hatch...the baby died inside the shell...must be the humidity
again. I immediately started spraying Charlie with water. Once in the morning
and once after I came home from work. And it helped, because this morning a
baby was born!! Congratulations Charlie and Piwi!! Here two photo's of the
baby:
Gosh....I'm really busy with "all those diaries" LOL!!
February 04, 2001:
The baby seems to be okay!! When I looked at him he was already yawning!

This evening the second baby is born!! I didn't expect it yet, thought that tomorrow another egg would hatch, but it's already born! It looks very healthy and strong. The egg shell was still there!! I took some photo's of the two babies:
